Canned motor pumps consist of an impeller attached to the motor shaft, which rotates within a stationary volute casing to create centrifugal force and pump the fluid. The motor windings are encapsulated in a hermetically sealed chamber filled with a dielectric fluid, providing both electrical insulation and cooling for the motor.
